Accessing Competitor Backlink Opportunities:

  1. Log in to Hike SEO.
  2. Go to “Backlinks.”
  3. Hover over “Backlink Opportunities” and click on “Competitor Opportunities.”

Using the Tool:

  • The tool displays backlinks based on your competitors, which could be relevant for your website.
  • Competitor backlinks are sorted logically: pending (not yet secured), in progress (actively reaching out), and completed (secured).
  • Filter backlinks by specific competitors or view all of them.

Sorting and Filtering Options:

  • By default, backlinks are sorted by domain authority.
  • Alternatively, sort by competitor overlaps, revealing sites more likely to accept backlinks if they have them from multiple competitors.
  • Aim for backlinks with high domain authority scores.

Managing Backlinks:

  • Remove irrelevant backlinks, which can be viewed later in the “Removed” section.
  • Export backlinks to view them in spreadsheet software, if preferred.
  • Filter backlinks by specific websites.

Reaching Out for Backlinks:

  • Identify sites your competitors have links on.
  • Reach out to those sites to collaborate and secure high-quality backlinks.
  • Access contact information (when available) and contact their marketing or press department.
  • Pitch your proposition to them.
